Who's Coming to Dinner?

In our home I continue to strive to be a chef, often with charred results.  I try to get them to eat their veggies, I cut them in funky shapes, create interesting dips, but 9 times out of 10 this is what dinner time looks like at our house...
but I continue to try

to encourage veggies I bribe with sliders and even thought the pretty veggie presentation would help

Just when I think I have created the ambiance for a relaxing evening, who decides to come to dinner?

Little Man dancing in anticipation of the guests' grand appearance, it was rock concert worthy,
(we fully support dancing on the bar at our house)

The RockStar, surprise guest,"Veggie of The Night Eater", makes his grand entrance, check out the pink, leopard, fur mules

trying a new technique of holding his jaw shut so the veggies may stand a better chance of going down

Celebratory dance and song after eating his veggies!

 Is scurvy for real?

  1. Love the bar dancing...you're my kinda mom! My kids will only eat their raw veggies with Ranch dressing. :/

Love your house Polly! Hopefully one day I can come out and hang w/ you, Edie and Patty....one day.

  2. Ummm, everything tastes better with chocolate ;)

I'm impressed at your boys clever scarf skills.
And balance on the bar. Looks similar to a dinner at our home ;)

  3. This is sooooo funny--love the outfit! My 5 year old son, Thomas, will not swallow his veggies and ends up with this HUGE cheek full--I pray every night he doesn't choke!
My husband says that he'd an old shoe if it has hollandaise sauce on it, in a bid to try to get me to make that every time there's something green
    :)

    Hugs/blessings/we leave Sunday,

    Lana
